A piece of Scandinavia

This post is way more emotional because of my love to Norway. It feels like home to me. It was my third visit in Ålesund and i still find it more lovely. I got there by plane from Gdańsk at Thursday (2 days after my trip to Malta) and it took 2hours. The plane was delayed like 40 minutes and i was at 10pm at the Vigra Airport. I almost started crying in the plane, before the landing, because of the most beautiful flight i have ever had. My dad picked me up from the airport to his home. (Info: The oneway tickets to Aalesund cost probably 100korones) It was still light because of the long days at the summer. Next day i walked to the centrum and did a little shopping. I discovered a cute shops called Flying Tiger(TGR) and Søstrene Grene. I also visited the Jugendstilsenteret for the very first time. There was an exhibition "BYEN" and "The City". After walking through the streets of the city, my dad and i ate a tasty kebab pizza.

On Saturday we packed most needed stuffs, took a car and traveled to Trondheim. After 5 hours, 2 ferries and the breathtaking views we were there. I was dreaming of visiting Trondheim for a year. The classical norwegian city centre didn't disappoint me. Before entering the city we had visited the Granåsen- ski jumping hill- the worst looking of the ones i've seen in Norway. The same day we have walked through the Gamle Bybro bridge, watching the wood houses from every viewcard. We have visited everything by walking. At the Market Square we tried food from Tacopedia. Someone forgot to clean after eating and thanks that we could have watched a battle between seagulls. I used my Zenit (analogue camera) for the very first time at that trip and soon i'll know what i have done by it. We have entered a small church in which the funniest thing was that there was a cafe inside. Later we walked around Nidaros Cathedral. The performance of front entrance was brilliant. "The transept and chapterhouse are in a late Romanesque style influenced by the Norman architecture of England, while the long choir with its beautiful south doorway was added in the 13th Century, along with the massive nave and tower." I have also seen a quite funny monument of vacuum and a ma playing on the bottles! We went for a walk at the evening, when the sun was going to hide. The place where we have been staying for the night was "Comfort Hotels".

Next day we woke up at 9am, ate the breakfast at the hotel and started exploring the rest of the city. Our first thing to do was going to Kristiansten Festning. Great place to take photos of Trondheim's panorama. Later I wanted to go to Art museum- Trondheim Kunstmuseum. The ticket cost 100korones for an adult and was free under 18. It has also let you visit the second part of the museum in another building. At that time there were cool exhibitions. I very liked them neither my dad. Everyone's keen on different things. Unfortunately, the bike's elevator wasn't working but i have seen a thing like that for the first time. The last one on our "to do list" was visiting the Rockheim museum. Such a great place and funny experience! I don't remember going to the museum like that! I have even tried playing drums. I really recommend it! We left the city at 4pm and we had 5 hours and 2 ferries on our way back to Ålesund.

On monday my dad drove me to the city centre again. But that day i have started from another part of the centre with walking to the lighthouse. Then i decided to visit Fjellstua for the fourth time. I spent there about two hours just by sitting on the rocks alone, remembering every piece of the landscape. After that I have took a bus to Moa where is placed a bigger mall. It wasn't cheap to get there because the ticket costed 40 korones. Way too much tho. But there is also a beautiful view at the Moa- of course mountains everywhere.

After that i called my dad and asked him to visit an old house in Ålesund at the end of the Slinningen. Last day before leaving Ålesund i spent in the neighbourhood. It was sunny day so i decided to find a place to just sit and rest. I've found a beautiful place which i loved so much that i decided to call it "my Place". I saw kids swimming in the water which wasn't as cold as i though it would have been. After an hour it has started raining so i packed my stuff and on the way back home i bought my favourite norwegian chocolate. I love the mlekosjokolade with daim and kjekssjokolade called "Kvikk lunsj". At the evening i have went to my Place again and also spent there a lot of time, just watching the mountains hiding in clouds.

On Wednesday morning we have packed the rest of our luggage and left the city at 8am. We were on our way back to Poland. But it wasn't the end of my trip because while we were heading to Ystad we've visited Oslo and Copenhagen! We have also visited Lillehammer and it's ski jumping where were one of the Winter Olympic Games. At the evening we have walked through the streets of capital city of Norway. I wanted to visit the Oslo Opera House and The Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art but it was already closed so i just went to the Tjuvholmen island which is probably the moderniest place in the city and, in my opinion, there are living pretty rich people. We were staying at Blue Radisson for one night and they had wooden cards for the hotel rooms and it was so cute. Next day we started at 8am by going to Vigeland Park with the famous sculptures of a human existence. I really loved it! It was so inspiring to watch and understand them. Later we have drove to the Holmenkollbakken to see the ski jumping hill.

Our next place to stop was Copenhagen! After 5 hours and a long bridge between the Sweden and Denmark we were in Copenhagen! For the very first time. Driving car through the bridge costed like 1000korones and we had only three hours to spend in the city. We have walked through the Nyhavn street with all those colourfull houses and headed to the Royal Library- a very modern library mixed with an old part of it. Because of the little time we had and "my whims", the last thing we have visited was Superkilen- a place of white stripes! I loved all the photos from there.

My next plan is to visit Norway on my winter holiday. Anyway I still have to share a post about polish mountains with you! But school started a month ago and I have just started high school. That's a big change tho but it's cool. I find time for both things.
