I told my friend that the time has come, we need to relax from everyday school life and go somewhere. I chose Gdanśk, because it was a friendly city for me as for the first trip without any adults. We bought train tickets on Thursday and on Friday at 6 am we had Pendolino. It took 3 hours to get to Gdańsk. My friend had never been there before so i was her guide.

We started at the old city, visiting the beautiful street - Mariacka street, Żuraw, the most popular street- Długa street ("Long street"), Neptun Monument but also museum at the Green Gate. There were three exhibitons. One called Atelier Nowosielskich. Ceramiczny świat Hanny i Leszka Nowosielskich - ceramic composition of a marriage pair. Second one was "Beata Czapska. Podróż w Głąb Natury" (A journey into nature). Her expressive sculptures are very interesting and most of them have got even more encouraging titles. I had the pleasure to talk with her about her work and hobby. Next time i'll try to record a talk like this one. I asked her about her love to those sculptures. She said that she has never made the perfect one for her. After ending she sees the things she could have changed. And most of them are hard to see for normal human who is not into this type of art. This experienced woman is still learning, still trying to be better in what she's doing. Not only for others but for herself. My next question was how much it takes to make a sculpture. She said it depends on order, her time and her feelings. Sometimes it takes a week and sometimes a year. She also told me that she wasn't only a sculptor, she tried architecture and design at the young age but it wasn't enough for her. The next and last exhibiton was a photography exhibition of 12 dutch photographers at the age 1979-1989 called "The Other side".

After a short break on the main street, we decided to see the area of murals at Zaspa. We have taken a tram number 11 but oh well- it was a huge mistake. We almost got lost but thanks the help of the strangers we knew where to go. If only we choosed number 2 our way could be shorter than 1 hour! To remember: you have better ask questions. But it was worth it and we still had a lot of time to see many of the murals, go back to the centre and eat something before our return train.
We were back at home at 10pm and we both were happy of this short travel. Everyone should try an adventure like that to feel the responsibility of yourself.
No matter how many times i visit Gdańsk, i will always find something to do there.
And now came the summer which means the end of school. I will write about my next trips as soon as possible. I wish you an amazing summer time!
See ya!
